Expand the Catalogue & Maximise Services

LIBERO ILL allows you to share resources with other libraries. Members may search external libraries and gain access to items of temporary interest, rare or urgently required materials, or resources too expensive to purchase for your own library catalogue.

LIBERO ILL also makes it possible to selectively share resources with other libraries. The entire process – from request submission, to ongoing status updates, to receipt of items is seamlessly automated to optimise the ILL process.

A comprehensive range of parameters can be applied to customise the Interlibrary loan function at your library, including loan periods, email notifications and relevant fees.

Intuitive, Convenient & Easy to Use

ILL requests can be registered by staff and members from the WebOPAC, the Circulation or Reference Desk for any (permitted) loan period.

As items move through the ILL process, status updates are automatically displayed for the requestor in LIBERO’s WebOPAC Member Services area.

Staff can use LIBERO’s ‘quick convert’ function to generate a purchase order from an ILL request or convert reservations into ILL requests. Comprehensive request statistics are available to staff for both incoming and outgoing requests at any point.

LIBERO ILL functionality all works to maximise the availability of materials, the library catalogue and member satisfaction.
